Equity funds for the acquisition of machinery and equipment, a Diester and Sand Cyclone System, to benefit the Macon County Sand Company. The company will locate on 700 acres in Macon County. The project will result in 24 direct jobs paying between $10-$15 per hour with benefits. $5.8 million of private investment will be made. An indirect impact of the Macon County Sand Company will be additional work secured by local truckers who will transport sand from the Macon facility to various construction sites.

ESB loan guarantee to support Floyd’s Fiberglass, Inc., a boat manufacturer located in Montezuma, GA. John Floyd, Owner, started this business at an incubator at South Georgia Technical College. Floyd's will produce 42 Lancer Boats (small fiberglass boats) for the first year. The second year projection is 60 boats and the third year projection is 100 boats. They are also anticipating the start up production of small fiberglass planes at the new facility. Flag Bank in Montezuma is the lender.

Equity funds to purchase new equipment to support the expansion of Integrated Composite Technologies, a manufacturer of wood and plastic composite products made completely from recycled waste materials. The new hi-tech extruder production equipment will enable the company to more aggressively compete in the global marketplace. The company began as a start-up in 2001 and has invested $11.5 million at the Macon County facility and employs 61 people. Expansion plans include the creation of 60 new jobs and an additional private investment of $4.5MM.

EDGE funds to assist with the purchase of equipment that will support Flint River Foods, LLC, a new company that freezes and cans vegetables for Glory Foods and New Era Canning. The company will occupy the former Birds Eye Facility. Montezuma, Macon County is in competition with South Carolina. The project will create 170 new jobs within five years.

E 9-1-1 funds to assist with the construction of a regional E 9-1-1 center, including the purchase of dispatching and radio equipment as well as parking and fencing to serve the 81,365 residents of these seven Tier 1 and Tier 2 counties. The center will be centrally located in the city of Ellaville, Schley County. This will be the largest E 9-1-1 service area in Georgia, covering twenty-eight jurisdictions. Counties: Dooly, Macon, Marion, Schley, Sumter, Taylor, Webster. Total Residents: 81,365
