DJC is Quitman County's only manufacturer, exporter, and largest private employer. In 2007, DJP partnered with an Alabama company to develop bio-degradable fishing lure material to be distributed solely by D&J under the brand name of Big Bite Baits which currently has 75 different products under this name. The new product line is sold in 13 Wal-mart stores in the Birmingham area as well as other sporting goods stores throughout the country and internationally. This project will create 20 new jobs, retain 57 existing jobs and create $200,000 in private investment. Georgia was in competition with Eufaula, Alabama.
