Dicon’s medical components, used predominantly in the skin care, foot care and medical industries, are customized for sale to companies and hospitals. Some of these new medical products are intended to supply U.S. troops serving in Iraq and elsewhere around the world. DT plans to construct a 30,000 square-foot facility on 6 acres in the Interstate Centre Industrial Park. The new facility will contain the Company’s manufacturing, research and development functions that are currently located in China. Founded in 1980, Dicon has marketable and diverse products, as well as patents and patents-pending.

EDGE funds towards the land acquisition of 32.4 acres in the 272-acre Bryan County Interstate Centre Industrial Park owned by the Bryan County. The Authority has applied on behalf of ORAFOL USA, Inc, a division of the parent company, ORAFOL Klebetechnik GmbH, located near Oranienburg, Germany. The site will be used to construct a 196,000 SF building to be used to manufacture PVC film for a wide range of advertising, inscribing and marketing applications. The Company will also use the space for its new US corporate headquarters. This project will create 50 new jobs in the Middle Georgia Coastal area within two years. This project is in competition with South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida and Indiana.

Equity funds for construction of roadway to 273-acre proposed industrial park located at I-I6 and Hwy 280. Industrial Park, with close proximity to I-95 and Georgia Ports Authority, is expected to provide substantial employment to Bryan County as well as surrounding Tier 1 & 2 counties.
