STAR Fitness is a start-up professional co-ed fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment opening in Ocilla by Jeff and Sheri Rhodes. The gym will offer tanning services, optional free-weight workouts, aerobics and other fitness classes. The loan proceeds will be used for reconstruction of an existing building to meet franchise requirements and to purchase equipment, security system, tanning beds and office furniture.
Equity funds to assist with the acquisition of two vacant buildings totaling 131,000 square-feet on a 10-acre lot to be used by Frontier Cargo, Inc.'s new cargo trailer manufacturing operation in the City of Ocilla. Frontier Cargo, owned by local investor Dr. Mahendra Amin, is a new company formed in November 2005 that manufacturers cargo trailers. The company was originally an affiliate of Down To Earth, Inc., of Baxley. Currently, Frontier Cargo employs 50 and leases space in one of the two buildings that it wishes to purchase with Equity loan funds. The leased space is insufficient to accommodate anticipated growth which will include an additional 50 employees. This project is expected to create a total of 100 jobs.
