Equity grant funds of $500,000 will be used to assist with the construction of a 1,500 seat amphitheatre to be located within Bryant Commons, a large scale outdoor, cultural entertainment venue currently in development by the City of Hinesville and Liberty County. The BC property is a 150-acre tract of land donated by Glenn and Trudie P. Bryant. The philanthropic couple’s former home now serves as the Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association Museum and is the association’s national headquarters. The proposed amphitheatre will be set on the bank of the detention pond and be used to host concerts, plays, environmental education classes and other events. Other proposed amenities within Bryant Commons include walking trails, recreational ponds, picnic areas and a community center pavilion. Hinesville is the home of Fort Stewart with 17,838 military personnel and 3,748 civilian employees. Currently, no venues of this caliber or size exist to accommodate large events. The facility is expected to enhance tourism and quality of life measures across a large multi- county region.

EDGE grant funds of $1,000,000 will be used to assist with site preparation in support of the location of Firth Rixson Forgings, LLC (FRF) to a 26.4-acre site within the Tradeport East Business Center located near the city of Hinesville in Liberty County. FRF is a wholly owned US subsidiary of Firth Rixson, Ltd. (FRL) an England-based industry leader in the production of seamless rolled rings for the aerospace market and the largest producer of metal rings in the world. The Hinesville location will consist of three buildings and will be Firth Rixson’s newest and largest facility at over 200,000 SF. With a history dating back to the 1800’s, FRL operates 11 facilities worldwide with four in the US as well as in the UK, China and Hungary. Construction is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed in late 2010.

Equity funds for construction of a new airport terminal at the new MidCoast Regional Airport located at Wright Army Airfield. The existing Liberty County Airport is not adequate to service the needs of most of today's corporate aircraft. This new terminal complex will consist of a 7,200 SF airport terminal and a 6,300 SF Operations Building. There is joint use agreement in place between the Army and Liberty County for the use of the federal property. In addition, the U.S. Army Coprs of Engineers will lease the operations building and other shared space in the terminal complex. This project is expected to create 9 new jobs by a fixed based operator.

EDGE funds to assist with land acquisition, site preparation, road construction, sanitary sewer and stormwater improvements for the location of the Ryan/Target Distribution Center, a Minnesota based general merchandise retailer, within Liberty Ridge at MidCoast Business Center-Phase I. This distribution center will utilize 155 acres of the 1,800 Liberty Ridge section. The mega park consists of 6,728,.8 acres. The Center will serve stores within the southeastern United States, specifically the markets of Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. This project is in competition with Virginia and Florida. This project will create 496 new jobs within two years and increasing to 600 new jobs within three years.

EDGE funds for construction of a 28,328 square foot assembly/distribution facility to be owned by the Liberty County Development Authority. The facility will be leased to eMotion Mobility LLC, which will install machinery and equipment with a value of $2,705,000. eMotion Mobility LLC will build electric cars for a new mobility program linked to transit and rail travel, launching a mobility program in Atlanta. eMotion Mobility LLC projects the creation of 84 jobs within five years of operation with a total payroll of $2,000,000 per year projected by its fifth year. The total cost of the project is $4,475,153.
