Equity funds to purchase equipment and furnishings for lease to Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, a non-profit workforce development agency. Goodwill has acquired the former Sam's Club building in Macon for use as a regional Culinary Arts and Hospitality Service Training Center. The facility will create 125 new staff positions and will provide paid training to approximately 85 individuals per week in demand occupations for the food service industry. The strategy of the central campus is to accommodate a full range of workforce development services in the food service industry including job training, intensive counseling, core job search and career advancement services for people with barriers to employment.
