Description:
Equity grant funds will be used to assist with the construction of an access road and production well to support the development of a 570 acre industrial park located south of Swainsboro, approximately 1.4 miles north of I-16 on the west side of SR-4/US Hwy 1. Lack of water, sewer and road access into the industrial site impair the county’s ability to attract new business, especially those prospects who intend to locate quickly. The construction of a large capacity deep well suitable for serving the entire Park and extension of the existing entrance into the Park are proposed to increase marketability of the Park’s industrial sites, located less than 90 miles from the Georgia Port in Savannah.
