Equity funds for public road improvements to assist with the construction of a peanut collection facility for the Jeff Davis Peanut and Grain Company. Currently, there are no collection or buying stations in an 8-county area including Jeff Davis, Appling, Tattnall, Toombs, Montgomery, Treutlen, Wheeler and Bacon. The 14 stockholders have a combined 400 years farming experience and have pooled their experience and knowledge in an effort to support this value-added agricultural activity. The company has a five-year contract with Golden Peanut to buy peanuts and expects to provide 12 full time jobs and 19 seasonal jobs.
