Description:
EDGE funds to assist with the purchase of a paint system for a new small engine facility located in a 360-acre industrial park off of GA Hwy 16. Perkins Shibaura Engines, LLC (PSE) is a new joint venture between Perkins Engines (a Caterpillar Company) - 70% owner and Ishikawajima Shibaura Machinery Ltd, a Japanese company - 30% owner. The facility contains 55,000 SF and is located at 325 Green Valley Road. PSE will manufacture the 400 series engines in addition to the Caterpillar 3011C-3024CT family of engines. Griffin, Spalding County is in competition with Charlotte, North Carolina. The project will create 100 new jobs.
