EDGE funds to assist with the purchase of machinery and equipment for a new product line in support of Caterpillar’s manufacturing facility expansion. Caterpillar has been in existence for over 80 years and is the world’s largest maker of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines. The proposed expansion will take place at the company’s Griffin manufacturing facility which has been in operation since 1999 and is one of the County’s largest employers.
