Description:
EDGE funds to assist in construction of a 200,000 square foot facility for the manufacture of pressure treated products. The Authority has applied on behalf of Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., the nation’s second largest manufacturer of pressure-treated lumber, for Infrastructure Improvements to approximately 60 acres of Wayne County Industrial Park owned by the Wayne County Development Authority. This project will retain 69 jobs and create 20 new jobs within within two years. This project is in competition with South Carolina, Alabama and Florida.
