AIRGeorgia funds to construct a crosswind runway at the Cochran Municipal Airport and develop a Medium Intensity Runway Lighting System along with the Precision Approach Path Indicators. The existing runway of 3,202 feet x 50 feet is inadequate for supplying the airport with the ability to accommodate corporate aircraft. The expansion will create a runway of 4,400 feet x 75 feet.

Equity funds to assist in the purchase of 274 acres of property for use as an industrial park.The county presently has no property to develop and market. The property, identified by Georgia Power through a site development study, has access to rail and is strategically located on US Hwy 23 and 129. The purchase of this property will enhance economic development recruitment opportunities in the area.
