The BRIDGE Fund Financial Assistance Preapplication is used by the OneGeorgia Authority (OGA) to evaluate proposals from eligible Preapplicants for the delivery of high speed broadband to Georgia’s underserved and unserved eligible rural counties. If a proposal meets all statutory and regulatory criteria as well as program regulations and objectives, the proponent will be invited to submit a full application.

Please answer all questions completely and accurately. Be concise in composing a narrative statement that responds to all questions in the order listed. The source and use of funds section should be completed and reconciled to the total project cost on the cover page. The Preapplication may be submitted online with an electronic signature. Alternatively, if completed manually, an original (including all printed forms with original signatures) and three copies should be submitted to the:

OneGeorgia Authority
1202-B Hillcrest Parkway
Dublin, GA 31021

Proponents are encouraged to contact the staff of the OneGeorgia Authority and/or the Department of Community Affairs prior to completing the Preapplication. Staff is available to provide technical advice and assistance in identifying and resolving critical issues. For specific technology assistance, applicants may also contact Georgia Technology Authority and/or Georgia Institute of Technology. Resource contact information is available on the OneGeorgia Authority website, www.onegeorgia.org.

An application is a serious undertaking which involves significant staff time and perhaps coordination with other local, State and Federal agencies. For technology related projects, this may involve system design, engineering and legal services which may only be eligible for reimbursement with grant funds if authorized by the OneGeorgia Authority prior to submission of the application.

In order to qualify for a multi-county or regional award, the project must a) be owned by at least two counties, b) be owned by a joint development authority consisting of two or more counties or c) operate under a revenue or cost sharing agreement among two or more county governments. At least one of the counties must be a directly eligible rural county without adequate high speed broadband access.

Multi-county or regional broadband projects that do not involve construction (activities such as technology-related studies, marketing, professional services, contracts and other economic development activities) must demonstrate service to a multi-county area where at least one of the counties is a directly eligible rural county that does not currently have adequate high speed broadband access.

The online application is time sensitive. For your convenience, you may download the BRIDGE Preapplication Word Document and fill it out prior to Login, then copy and paste the narrative information.
